I'm a passionate graphic designer based in the UK. I'm pretty excited at the moment because I'm just about to start a new job I'll post more details on that soon. What else? Hmmm I was seriously addicted to Facebook Graffiti but I've managed to quit now (256 days clean at the time of writing this). Oh and if for some reason you really want to talk to me then send me an email: mobile@ricknunn.com
Yesterday marked the launch of the new G&G Motorsport website. I’ve worked with these guys a lot in the past. Including doing their last website & original branding. Again they were a pleasure to work with allowing me to flex my creative muscle to deliver them a site that they are over the moon with & I’m proud to have in my portfolio.
Once I established the site in my head & on paper, I brought that design into Fireworks. Then met with Phill from G&G to make sure the site really fit his needs. Amazingly I had hid the nail on the head first go
From there I developed the site in HTML & CSS with a little progresive enhancement from jQuery. Once happy with the way it was rendering in the browser I converted it into a custom theme for Wordpress. Building the site on the Wordpress platform will allow any of the guys at G&G to add & update content when ever its convenient for them, which I think will be pretty often so watch out for some really interesting cars in the gallery.
My favourite part of this site is the contact form which drops down from the top of the page & if you happen to be slightly down the page at the time of clicking a contact link, it will even scroll your browser window to the top. To make this contact form possible I progressively enhanced the page via jQuery & then uses some AJAX techniques to submit the content with out reloading the page. Also to make this site accessible to a wide audience the contact system degrades nicely if you don’t have a javascript enabled browser, leaving you with an email link. Thanks to Jamie Thompson for helping me out with the AJAX.
I’d love to know what you think of the site & if you have any feed back on it. ![]()

Looks brilliant, great work all round. That contact dropdown is a brilliant touch, I might need to try experimenting a little more with functionality similar to that, nice one!
