I'm a passionate graphic designer based in the UK. I'm pretty excited at the moment because I'm just about to start a new job I'll post more details on that soon. What else? Hmmm I was seriously addicted to Facebook Graffiti but I've managed to quit now (256 days clean at the time of writing this). Oh and if for some reason you really want to talk to me then send me an email: mobile@ricknunn.com
I stumbled* upon a really interesting graph** today trending the use of IE 5 & 6 since a replacement has been released.
If usage continues in the same way we could possibly see IE 6 usage at 13% by next year. Which would be great!
*Stumbled upon at IE Death March
**Graph built with google charts

I do not like IE6 but locking out people that are using it is pretty poor on your part.
You overall design and layout is pretty simple so I do not undestand why you would have a slimmed down site for IE6.
As for your main landing area for your site.
Nice apple ripoff.
have nice day

So on my personal website who is more or less targeted at no one in-particular you have a big problem with me not supporting at 7 year old browser? I’m not selling a product people need to see. I’m not providing information that people need. Its more a playground, and some thing I can run hosting off, some times I make a blog post (which is IE6 accessible)
Yes I could have very easily made my website IE6 compatible. In fact it took me more time to make it not work in IE6 than it would have for me to put the PNG fix in to make it work. It was as much about working out a way of doing a conditional message and about making a point. IE6 sucks and people need to be educated to upgrade. There is no need to completely lock every one out I could have put a little tab at the top telling people that upgrading could be a good idea for them, which is some thing I have done on other sites I have done.
Really what I’m saying is that on my personal site thats not effecting any one I think it’s OK for me to not support IE6. In fact is perfectly OK for any one to not support IE, it’s up to them to make an informed choice based on their target audience. On my site over the past year I have only 21% of my visitors have been on IE, and of those 21% only 18% of those people we on IE6. Thats only 3.78% if your no good at math. I think thats more or less low enough for me not to worry about IE6.
Yes my website is “inspired” by Apple. Big deal?
Thanks for taking the time out of your day and share your constructive comments with me. I hope you have done the same with every one else on Elliot’s blog.

Don’t see how the site is inspired by apple? Or is he talking about your old design? Well done you for dropping IE6 support anyway
