Rick Nunn Photographs Mellisa Clarke & Charlotte Moran For Growl & Grandeur

Growl & Grandeur Summer 2012 Shoot

In March I had the pleasure of photographing Growl & Grandeur’s Spring/Summer 2012 range. The Growl team secured a location deep in the heart of East London — the F block roof of the old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane. An absolutely stunning spot with a pretty unique 360º backdrop of the London skyline & enough urban architecture, pipes, steel & brickwork to keep any photographer happy for a months worth of shoots. On top of the rad location I also got to shoot Font covergirl Mellisa Clarke & Fuel Girl Charlotte Moran — fuck yes!

My Three Photography Milestones

17 Comments By Rick Nunn

I guess this should probably be called “My Three Photography Kit Milestones” but you know, it’s an extra word & it loses some of the emphasis but anyway I digress — Today I was chatting to Vincent over email about the impending release of the 5D Mk III & we discussed our thoughts on it. A point of discussion was the difference that upgrading to full frame makes. I responded that for me it was one of three major milestones in photography, I thought it would be worth sharing my thoughts here, let me expand on each a little.

Tokyo Shoot Two

With a new outfit & new location in Tokyo I wanted to create a shot with a completely different feel to the previous — something that was more appropriate to the classy new look. I took advantage of the large amount of ambient light from the skylight above & two chandeliers behind. I then added a single strobe to the left side in a softbox which added depth to the model & a little separation from the background.

Fifty of Fifty Prints — On Demand

2 Comments By Rick Nunn

I’ve recently had a little interest from people interested in framed prints from my Fifty of Fifty project. So I priced it up and made them all available to buy! The prints will be pretty large — 20 inches wide, which will be about 26 inches (66cm) with the frame. Super limited edition — only 10 of each shot will ever be produced! They will all be stamped signed and numbered for authenticity (on the mount & on the back of the print). And obviously this has got my name on it so the quality is going to be excellent.
