41 — The Gemini

I’m not exactly an advocate of astrology but when you look up my sign (Aquarius) you’ll see clever, inventive, original, stubborn, unemotional, sarcastic & rebellious — well they are a lot of words that spring to mind when I think of Rick Nunn.

My girl is damn literal, not only was she born under the Gemini sign, she is also an actual twin. A Gemini is said to be both sides of yin & yang, & likely to switch at any time.

You might have noticed from previous photos I’ve posted, Spadge tends to alternate her style from “flowers & heels” to “tats & trainers”. So we decided to try & get two angles on the same basic concept, in the same location, with the same setup.

She’s both Front & Vogue — yes I know how lucky I am.

P.s. If you scroll down you’ll see 2 things. Firstly the cat was feeling left out & had to get involved. Secondly I did a behind the scenes video… you should watch it.

The Switch

Spadge did an outfit change part way though & I added an elegant chair — POW! We've switched to a completely new look. But we needed lighting to compliment that.

I did this using the EXACT same lighting positions as the other shots, the only difference was that I turned the power of the fill light down to 1/128th power to give a more dramatic look.

Behind The Scenes Video

I set up a camera in the corner of the room and recorded the first part of this shoot. I cranked the speed right up, for novelty value as much as anything else.

I never get bored looking at both of your “stuffs”, is that weird? I’m comfortable with it if you are.

Hey dude, it’s listed with a link in my kit section above. It’s an awesome little boom, great price & perfect for a Speedlight!
