Last Wednesday the lady I love more than anything eloped with me. We took a secret road trip up to Gretna Green and got married at the Old Blacksmith’s! Just Spadge, myself and of course Bandit.
In January, AnyForty head honcho, Al came to me wanting to run an idea by me — “I wonder if I could make a range work by getting a group of artists to do their own take on the Pride graphic”. “Hell yes” I told him. In March I headed up to Mayfield Studio, Newcastle to hang out with the AnyForty family and shoot that range.
I’ve always had a soft spot for the Fairlady, right back to the 1970s Datsun 240z. This tidy Nissan 350z is no exception. It’s a street driven drift car owned and built by my friend Sean. I offered to shoot his car for him so he had a cover image for his upcoming car check video — this week we made that happen.

On Sunday night I lost my automotive light painting virginity with this V8 Audi S5! The shot is comprised of 20+ 30 second long exposures. During each exposure I light painted a section of the car, slowly working my way round until I’d covered all the lines.
Spadge wanted a necklace — things sort of spiralled out of control from there until we ended up with Bandit dressed like a dinosaur. Halloween a-side this was a fairly standard Saturday for us.
