12 — Wonder Woman Cosplay — I Will Fight
Wonder Woman has a special place in my heart (pants). You see, way back in 2010, I took the first ever picture of my [now] wife, in a Wonder Woman shirt, before either of us even knew what Cosplay was.
Since the movie came out this year, Wonder Woman has become an even stronger role model, not just for women but for superheroes in general. Spadge’s twin sister, Rosie, sees Diana as a particularly important role model in her life:
“She’s a strong, female warrior! Bisexual and believes men aren’t necessary for pleasure, only procreation – literal goals.”
When Rosie decided to dress as Wonder Woman for Halloween this year, it seemed like a perfect chance to add some badass shots to this project. She adorned herself in armour, grabbed her (real as fuck) sword, and we headed to our favourite quarry. Top 3 quarries, easy.
It was a very rare, warm and sunny 22ºc October day — Spadge was not impressed, this time last year I made her dress as Harley Quinn in 10ºc “heat”, sometimes life just isn’t fair. Choosing the most baron landscape we could find, I set up some a Rapid Box / hyper sync combo which let me run 2 flash heads in one soft box, and then balanced them against the sun.
Here’s what we did:
P.S. Who’s looking forward to Justice League? DC are creating some great characters in their cinematic universe right now (okay, there are a couple of exceptions) but…
