In March I had the pleasure of photographing Growl & Grandeur’s Spring/Summer 2012 range. The Growl team secured a location deep in the heart of East London — the F block roof of the old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane. An absolutely stunning spot with a pretty unique 360º backdrop of the London skyline & enough urban architecture, pipes, steel & brickwork to keep any photographer happy for a months worth of shoots. On top of the rad location I also got to shoot Front covergirl Mellisa Clarke & Fuel Girl Charlotte Moran — fuck yes!

We wanted to get the most out of the day by utilising as many areas within the location as we could or rather as we had T-shirts for. a huge amount to achieve in a single day but I’m happy to say we nailed it.

I’ll warn you now this is an really really long post, but I think the subject matter should keep you pretty interested all the way down — so enjoy the photos. Oh & there is some behind the scenes goodies & a few other bits further down too so make sure you get all the way to the bottom!

Behind The Scenes Video

Tom Eagar put together a nice little behind the scenes video during the day, you really get a feel for how amazing the location was in this.

You can see me shooting in one of our first locations with a couple of strobes camera left through Westcott Apollo Softboxes & another strobe camera right on the floor going through a grid. I had hoped to get more than the handful of behind the scenes photos I got, but unfortunately their just wasn’t enough time to document everything. Still, I got a few & there is the hot little video above too.
