Growl & Grandeur — Summer 2015 Lookbook
With summer fast (sarcasm) approaching it was time to do another shoot for UK based streetwear brand, Growl & Grandeur.
I headed over to Nottingham to meet up with G&G big-wig, Colin. He’d scoped out an awesome location, The Pit Studio, where we met up with models Courtney Lloyd & Natasha Kalashnikova.
The Pit Studio was an amazing venue to shoot. Located above legendary pub, The Pit & Pendulum, it consists of 4 large rooms over 2 floors. It’s got large windows, superb light, plenty of space & atmosphere to boot! I am sure I’ll be shooting here again soon!
We shot here for around 5 hours (including pizza break) and in that time I did over TEN strobist setups. I can’t do a lighting diagram for each one but I have done one that shows how a couple of my favourite shots were done (arm chair shots towards the end). I also put together a time-lapse of the whole day which you should definitely take the time to watch when you get to the bottom of this post.
Natasha & Courtney were fantastic to work with and hopefully I’ll get to shoot with them both again sometime soon.

- Lens: Canon 50mm F/1.4 or Canon 135mm F/2.0
- Flashes: 3 x 600ex-rt
- Accessories: Manfrotto tripod, 4 light stands, a boom arm, 4 light brackets, a RoundFlash Beauty Dish, a Rogue Grid, a Westcott Apollo Strip, a Westcott Apollo Orb, & a Canon ST-E3-RT

As I said, I couldn’t possibly do a lighting setup for every shot I took but I thought I’d put one together for the shots I did with the chair at the end, along with all the kit I used throughout the day.
