Daniel Baker
My friend Daniel is a pretty awesome illustrator, the kind of illustrator that likes to draw axes & beards as well as beards & axes. At the end of last month I did a quick promo shoot for him in the attic of our favourite local independent coffee shop.
The attic, which is being used for storage of eighty-nine-thousand takeaway coffee cups, was very cramped but that made it all the more interesting to look at and challenging to shoot. I went with a single strobe here, mixing it with the available light coming in through a nearby window — it worked out pretty sweet.
The attic was tight. But we made it work. Dan of course drawing a beard…
