To me there is so much aesthetic value in the places I go & the people I see. These are my attempts to document my adventures so I don’t forget them. This is my visual journal.
While up in Lancashire at the weekend Spadge & I headed to Blackpool for the day. The weather was looking pretty disappointing so we got pretty excited when we saw signs to Blackpool Zoo! I didn’t even know Blackpool had a zoo so we didn’t have our hopes up — but it was awesome! Lions, […]
Last weekend Spadge & I had another adventure, this time we headed north over the Humber Bridge into Yorkshire. We’d found an awesome little cottage with an weekend still available despite it being the start of the high season.
As mentioned here my lady & I had a weekend away in the cabin in Kenwick. It was long over due — we haven’t been since November. It felt great to escape for a little while. This time we came across a small family-run farm park called Rushmore Country Park where Spadge got to feed some baby lambs & I made friends with a pretty awesome ginger guinea pig. We also ate lots of bacon, had fish & chips, ran around the woods… you know, the usual.
As part of my birthday present last month Spadge got us tickets to the Tattoo Tea Party — awesome. So we made the trip up to Event City in Manchester to check it out. It’s unusual to see so many different styles under one roof & really interesting seeing how other people deal with the pain of being tattooed. There were some mind-blowingly-good artists & it’s, unsurprisingly, made me feel the need for more ink. Check out the photos and enjoy.
Last weekend my amazing smoking hot smart sexy pretty cute girlfriend, Spadge, took me away for a weekend to the picturesque village of Burnham Market in North Norfolk. We stayed in an awesome holiday cottage which had everything we could possibly need, including a coffee machine & wood burner for the cold February nights!
Spadgerina & I spent last week in Paris — wow what a city. We had a very cute little apartment about 20 minutes walk north of Notre Dame, which meant we could walk almost everywhere. We managed to get a good mix of the usual hotspots & found our own.
This morning Phil made me get up at some stupid time in the morning & we headed to Malton for the Specialist Cars Yorkshire Big Breakfast Autumn meet. Twice a year thousands of people from all over the country flock to a small industrial estate to eat bacon sandwiches & look at some of the finest motors ever made. The seer quantity of people made photo tricky, but here are a few of my favourite shots from the day.
Just got back from another weekend away with Spadge in the Cabin. On Friday we took a ride out to the small costal town of Mablethrope to enjoy some of England’s finest eastern seaside. Beach walks, red slush, novelty rock, donkeys & nintendo grabber machines were just some of the things we enjoyed.
Went deer hunting with my girl on Sunday. Except the shooting was done with a camera instead of a gun. It was so amazing! Managed to full on army crawl up to a heard, I must have been, at most, 2 meters away. They are seriously such awesome creatures. Even found the main stag (pictured above) who was HUGE! Seriously need to head back here in winter, it’d be even more magical!
Last week I took Spadge to Whitby in North Yorkshire as a late, but well planned, birthday present. I think we managed to check off all the normal stuff to do in Whitby, long walks on the beach, fish & chips every night, loads of ice cream, trekked up all 199 steps to the abbey, checked out the amazingly(bad) Dracula exhibit, the list goes on…
